Vendor Agreement

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the rules, obligations, and restrictions for all thirdparty vendors who list and sell products on the WeConstructHub Marketplace (“Platform”). By registering as a vendor, you agree to comply with this AUP at all times.

WeConstructHub reserves the right to update this AUP as needed to ensure safety, compliance, and marketplace integrity.

2. Purpose of the AUP

This policy helps ensure that all products, activities, and interactions on the Platform are:

  • Legal
  • Safe
  • Transparent
  • Authentic
  • Aligned with the values of WeConstructHub

3. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors must:

  • Provide accurate and complete product information
  • Deliver only genuine and high-quality products
  • Maintain updated inventory and pricing
  • Respond to customer inquiries within 24–48 hours
  • Fulfill orders promptly
  • Maintain truthful business documentation
  • Comply with Nigerian laws and all regulatory requirements

4. Prohibited Products

Vendors may NOT list, sell, advertise, or promote the following categories:

A. Illegal or Restricted Goods

  • Counterfeit or imitation construction materials
  • Stolen goods
  • Hazardous chemicals not certified for public sale
  • Materials banned by regulatory bodies (e.g., SON, NESREA)
  • Weapons or explosive items

B. Unsafe or Fraudulent Construction Items

  • Substandard building materials (e.g., under-strength cement, fake reinforcements)
  • Misrepresented grades of steel, timber, or aggregates
  • Expired or adulterated materials

C. Services Not Allowed on the Platform

  • Ponzi-style investment schemes
  • Consultancy or engineering services without proper certification
  • Any service not related to construction or building materials

5. Prohibited Vendor Behaviours

Vendors must not:

  • Upload fake or misleading product images
  • Manipulate customer reviews or ratings
  • Inflate prices unjustifiably
  • Deliver used, damaged, or different products
  • Demand off-platform payments
  • Engage in harassment or abusive communication
  • Attempt to circumvent WeConstructHub’s escrow or payout systems

6. Shipping & Fulfillment Rules

Vendors must:

  • Ship orders within the stipulated timeframe
  • Provide accurate delivery timelines
  • Package items safely to prevent damage
  • Use reliable logistics partners

7. Compliance & Documentation

Vendors must maintain valid documentation including:

  • Government-issued ID or CAC registration
  • Proof of business address
  • Proof of product authenticity (upon request)

WeConstructHub may request additional documents under Enhanced Due Diligence.

8. Consequences of Violating This AUP

Violations may result in:

  • Warning or temporary suspension
  • Removal of product listings
  • Withholding of payouts
  • Permanent account termination
  • Reporting to relevant legal bodies
